Bounty Board 088: Games as a Social Medium
What is up nerds!? We are all finding ways to socialize with the people we can no longer visit in person. For many of us that has led to long hours online, playing games, trying out new things. For Caleb and Ryan that has meant diving head first into Stardew Valley. For Caleb and Ben the high seas have salted our faces. There are thousands of games to explore in these trying times, and so many people have backlogs to dig through so the Bounty Board crew asked each other the question, “Are games made to be a social medium?”
We all have memories tied to games. Long nights with friends, LAN parties, tournaments at GameCrazy. But a lot of the things we used to congregate around as a community have faded away. Do we still find a way to meet up? Or are we truly less social because of games, like so many people try to assume? Join the Bounty Board crew as they discuss the social aspects of the industry we love!
